Game Summary
In Face to Face, the game begins with two shuffled decks of cards – “PLACE” cards and “FACE” cards. There are 4 different “places” and each place has 4 different animals associated with it. These are placed where all players can reach them.
The player who has the most animals goes first, and then play continues clockwise to the other players. On his/her turn, each player can select a maximum of 2 of following actions:
(1) Take a card (from either pile);
(2) Place a card down;
(3) Trade a card with another player;
(4) Discard a card; or
(5) Pass.
Players work to match the two sides of an animal and “place” it back in its rightful land. Each matched animal earns the player one point. If both matched sides have a star, then more points are earned (3 for gold; 2 for silver). First player to 10 points wins!
